On January 11, 2025, TEDxNMIMSIndore hosted an inspiring event centered around the theme “Rewriting the Narrative.” The event featured 10 remarkable speakers who shared innovative ideas and transformative perspectives on life, business, and community impact.
Event Highlights:
The day began with a traditional lamp-lighting ceremony, graced by Dr. Anshuman Jaswal, PhD, MBA, LLM, Director, NMIMS Indore, Dr. Rajeev Shrivastava, Associate Dean, SOC, faculty coordinator Dr. Vippa Dhingra, and our esteemed speakers.
Ms. Bhavana Singh captivated the audience with her journey as a lifestyle coach and fashion influencer.
Mrs. Jasmine Lulla shared her story of resilience and overcoming adversity.
Mr. Shridhar Venkat, CEO of Akshaya Patra Foundation, spoke on the profound impact of giving.
Ms. Hetal Dalal, President & COO of IIAS India, discussed the importance of shareholder activism.

SVKM’s NMIMS Indore celebrated the 63rd National Pharmacy Week under the theme ‘Think Health, Think Pharmacy’ with a series of impactful initiatives aimed at promoting health awareness and community pharmacy services. On November 22, 2024, the celebrations began with a free medical check-up at the Gurukripa Old-Age Home, organized by the Ekaaksh Foundation. A dedicated team of pharmacy faculty and students conducted comprehensive health screenings for eight elderly residents, focusing on preventive healthcare and their overall well-being. The attendees expressed their heartfelt gratitude, emphasizing the significance of such community-centric initiatives.
NMIMS Indore recently hosted “StoryCraft: Weaving Numbers into Narratives,” a distinguished Management Conclave that illuminated the art of transforming data into compelling narratives. The event featured insights from esteemed industry leaders, including Ms. Aradhika Mehta, Founder & Chief Strategy Officer at Brand Architects; Mr. T.S. Mohan Krishnan, Consultant at Kantar; Mr. Rahul Dutta, Director of Marketing at Microsoft India; Mr. Sanjeev K. Chauhan, Director of HR at Pepe Jeans India Limited; Mr. Akshay Rakshit, HRBP at BMW Group; and Mr. Shubham Chaturvedi, Brand Manager at Mercedes-Benz India. This gathering underscored the critical importance of storytelling within the contemporary business landscape.
The conclave provided an engaging platform for students to acquire knowledge from experts, gaining valuable insights into the interplay of data, creativity, and human connection in crafting impactful business narratives. Organized by NMIMS clubs Brandwiser, Sequitur, and Elan, and guided by faculty mentors Dr. Monica Bhatia, Dr. Shubhangi Jore, and Dr. Ankur Gangal, the event reaffirmed NMIMS Indore’s commitment to fostering holistic business education.
NMIMS Indore proudly hosted the Indore Democratic Summit (IDS) 2024🌟
This exceptional event was orchestrated by YouthGenex, Indore Municipal Corporation (IMC), and SVKM’s NMIMS Indore. Yesterday, on the final day of the summit, we were privileged to host Shri Kailash Vijayvargiya, Hon’ble Minister for Urban Development and Housing, Government of Madhya Pradesh, as our Chief Guest. We were also honored by the presence of Shri Pushyamitra Bhargav (Modi Ka Parivar), Hon’ble Mayor of Indore, who has been instrumental in organizing the summit.
The Hon’ble Minister spoke on one of today’s pressing issues, the impact on Democracy of the protests and overthrow of the Government in Bangladesh. He highlighted the crucial difference between ‘what is popular’ vs. ‘what is in the public interest’. Shri Pushyamitra Bhargav spoke about the pivotal role and farsightedness of Shri Vijayvargiya and the Madhya Pradesh Government in the development of Indore, particularly through the creation of the Super Corridor. He also emphasized the close collaboration between IMC and NMIMS Indore in recent events such as those on Circular Economy, the record Tree Plantation Drive, and now IDS.
The event was a vibrant celebration of democratic principles, collective efforts, and cultural diversity. We enjoyed three days filled with insightful discussions, valuable exchanges, and a unified commitment to advancing democratic engagement and community progress.
A heartfelt thank you to the amazing students and teachers from the various schools who participated and contributed to making this summit a remarkable success. Your engagement and dedication have truly made this event stand out.
I would also like to thank our School of Law students Ansh Jain and Deshna Sanghavi, as well as the entire organizing team of YouthGenex, who worked very hard for several weeks to make this event a significant success.
We look forward to more opportunities to work closely with local and regional civic bodies, youth organizations, and the Government in the future.

Republic Day Celebration 2025 at SVKM’s NMIMS Indore
On 26th January 2025, NMIMS Indore celebrated Republic Day with great pride and unity. The event, held at the open area in front of the Academic Building, saw faculty, staff, and students come together to honour the nation’s values of freedom, democracy, and patriotism.
The highlights of the celebration included:
• Flag Hoisting Ceremony by Director, Dr. Anshuman Jaswal, followed by the National Anthem
• Address by the Director, reflecting on the significance of Republic Day and our collective responsibilities
• Tea and Snacks, offering an opportunity for community bonding and reflection
